You gotta remember that Aasif Mandvi isn't just some wisecracking fake newsing Senior Whatever Correspondent standing in front of a green background, he's the all-purpose performer. If you don't watch this show, you should check out the episode "Winter's End" at CBS.com. Big serious scenes playing a PTSD victim/surgeon from the front lines of the battle for the United States after a nuclear attack whose run away and become an alcoholic in a small Kansas town, and he totally pulls it off. Even with the imprint of The Daily Show in my head.
And sure, April and the baby die, but Dale loses it to the haughty rich girl who lives on the hill, so maybe if she gets pregnant, Jericho will only be down one person for the episode.
At the end of the episode when all the men going off to build the turbines were saying goodbye to their families, all I could think about it what it was like to get the script the week it says you go off to another town we've never seen before?
I believe we have 23 episodes, so that's seven more this season. I hope someone changes their mind about not telling us something about who was behind the attacks before the end of the season.
I would like some of the larger story to go faster. I can't believe that after all this time since the initial attacks there wouldn't at least be some vested interest using the TV airwaves to some benefit, yet they haven't shown us a TV broadcast in weeks.
Am I being too impatient?
