Watch This! 7 Ages Of Rock on VH1 Classic
It's a BBC co-production and it's the only thing I'm really interested in on the tube right now.
I love the VH1 Roc Docs series, it's the high minded thing that Michael Hirschorn (Bachelors' from Harvard, Masters' in comparative lit from Columbia, HA!) gives us while he's feeding us the brain-damage causing dating and competition shows like Rock of Love (I've just started seeing promos for season two) and America's Most Smartest Model (Andre loses to VJ, while Jeff Pickel lives to exaggerate his height -- 6'0''? Really? -- another day).
Here's a sample.
Do you know that the last two nights, your TV junkie has been gorging on Family Guy reruns on TBS and [adult swim]?
That's just sad.
I thought for a moment about watching that Clash of the Choirs thing on NBC (yes, I was a member of the 1977 All-New York State High School Choir), but I thought better of it (sorry, Shankar).
