First I have to tell you that I attempted to get in the audience for this show, called Most Popular (July 19 at 10 on WE tv) so I could report back to you but I was rebuffed! Me, your TV junkie!
Thing is, you had to have a uterus to get a ticket and I ... I left mine in the Virgin America's First Class Lounge at JFK a while back and damned if it didn't run off after Robert Pattinson, bedhead and all.
Actually, this being an all-women's audience participation show with polling the crowd and Graham rushing about the audience (which he has shown a unique talent for on his various shows) I guess they didn't want some other guy pulling focus from the host some dude harshing the female vibe.
Oh, also I don't know if this clip will work for Graham Norton fans outside the US, so if it doesn't, you know ... sorry.
From what I can tell, this is how this show works: Audience presented with a group of women, they walk on stage. Before they even say hello the crowd eliminates one based just on that.
Graham interviews various audience members to find out their reasoning. They respond. We then find out stuff about the eliminated woman and the audience reacts to their first impression vs. reality, then we move on.
With each elimination we learn more about women on stage and ... lather, rinse , repeat ... some woman remains standing who may be the angel Lo from the Linus speech in A Charlie Brown Christmas or a seller of nuclear secrets to Somali pirates or anything in between.
And there's a clip, like I said, and it's after the jump.
