Video -- Kath & Kim is Just Horrible, and Now It's Off My DVR List
Ironically, I've been thinking all week about how that ABC comedy Carpoolers from Bruce McCulloch (Kids in the Hall) last year was so much better than this dreck. And I betcha it cost less to produce.
Then Fred Goss, the lead in Carpoolers, shows up to play Phil's friend.
I have dutifully watched every episode of Kath & Kim, it's on my DVR series manager. Well, it was.
As of last night it's gone.
Because it's just making me sad to see these people I enjoy in other shows and movies have to debase themselves like this.
Imagine going from a Christopher Guest movie to this -- that's what John Michael Higgins' experience is. Molly Shannon had just come off Year of the Dog, a great little film written by Mike White when she signed on for this.
And Selma Blair was in a summer blockbuster, Hellboy 2.
If I was any one of the performers mentioned above, I would ...
a) Fire my agents and managers
b) Vow never to work for NBC again.
c) Find a great indie to do, fast.
Just to be fair, after the jump I've embedded the entire episode from Hulu. If you laugh once, just once, I wanna know about it.
