Dead Drama Alert! Eli Stoned, Piemaker Pushing Up Daisies ... and Dirty, Sexy, Demise
Three hours of programming in one fell swoop. Holy shit. Well, I guess I can now deleted all those eps of DSM from my DVR.
You see, when I started to hear about the ratings problems ABC was having on Wednesdays, I started banking the eps and watching other stuff. Because there's so much to watch and either not enough hours in the day or too much life to lead.
Yes, I do have a life. Outside of the TV box machine thingy.
So, goodbye Darlings. What has happened to you over the last four weeks will now make no never mind to me, though I just might fast forward through to see what fabulous thing Natalie Zea is wearing.
And at least Becky Newton doesn't have to worry about being mistaken for Zea at ABC Network functions now. I betcha that was a bitch for both of them.
And I'll miss you, Blair Underwood, until you get another 12 jobs concurrently and you're all over the place, again.
I only ever watched one episode and ten minutes of another of Pushing Daisies. I realized in that second episode, after being charmed by the first, that I had no idea what was going on because I was fixated on watching to see if they touched, which would have ended the show. So I wasn't gonna enjoy that.
And I thought Eli Stone was a bit too much like Ally McBeal for me to be interested. But the guy was cute.
Anyhow, here's what Hibberd at the Reporter says about logistics and such:
Starting on Dec. 11, ABC will put "Mars" on hiatus and move "Private Practice" into its time period, giving the medical drama a "Grey's Anatomy" lead-in. "Practice" will air in repeats until it returns to originals Jan. 8.
The move gives "Mars," which started production later than most fall shows, more time to stockpile some additional episodes. ABC also ordered four more hours from 20th Century Fox and ABC Studios.
Other news from ABC about their sked includes some Scrubs notes:
"Scrubs" will have its ABC premiere at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6. ABC will air an hour of back-to-back episodes for two weeks, then "Scrubs" will settle in as a single half-hour at 9:30 p.m. The network hasn't announced which half-hour program will serve as a lead-in, though one likely option is the new Mike Judge animated comedy "The Goode Family."
Bye, pieman. Bye, Eli. And Darlings? I'll miss you most of all.
But I do look forward to returning to Sacred Heart, singing or no, but it would be great if there was singing, again.
