Obama SNL Appearance Postponed, Tina Fey "Likely" as Palin

Tina_fey THR.com:

The Democratic presidential candidate had been booked for the NBC show's season premiere on Saturday. His appearance will be rescheduled for a more appropriate time, his campaign said.

"In light of the unfolding crisis in Texas, Sen. Obama has decided it is no longer appropriate to appear on 'Saturday Night Live' tomorrow evening," an Obama spokeswoman said.

You still get Michael Phelps as guest host and, more than likely, an appearance by Tina Fey as Sarah Palin.

AP:

Fey is "likely" to return to her former show Saturday to play the Alaskan governor and Sen. John McCain's running mate, a person close to the show told The Associated Press on Friday night. The person requested anonymity because the decision has not been announced officially. No further details were available.

Who will play Charlie Gibson? Is that Darrell Hammond's job?

We'll see tonight at 11:30 on NBC.

Barack's previous appearance on SNL after the jump.
