Sarah Palin, Virulently Anti-Gay, To the Point of Ignoring Her Own State Supreme Court

Church_lady HRC.org:

Prior to being elected governor, Palin supported the 1998 constitutional amendment barring marriage for same-sex couples and has said she would support a ballot measure overturning a state supreme court decision mandating benefits for domestic partners of state employees.

(snip)

She will be honored alongside anti-gay Representative Michelle Bachman (R-MN) at an event at the 2008 Republican Convention, the “Life of the Party,” sponsored in part by long-time opponent of GLBT rights, Phyllis Schlafly.

But, she's more than happy to pressure an official of the Palin state to fire her ex-brother-in-law because his marriage with her sister didn't work out.

And answer me this, how can you get through the pageant system and not meet at least one gay man who you think should be allowed to marry the person he loves (the one with the penis)?

Is this the kind of person you want to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency? Is it?

Hey, if you think so, go ahead, but you'll pay. You'll pay dearly.

Plus, she doesn't even know what the job entails. She said it herself. Watch the clip, it's only 11 seconds wrong, another great find from Jed Lewiston at The Jed Report (go there and bookmark as well).

Clip after the jump.
