[UPDATE: I had an image of the product here, but I thought I would remove it before they asked me to, just being pro-active. Pro-active, isn't there a deodorant or antiperspirant that claims to pro-active? Wouldn't that indicate a consumer product had the powers of precognition? Do they expect us to believe that? Wait, I'll get a letter, just watch.]
Because the product placement on Eureka this season is just over-the-top horribly noticeable.
Remember the box of Met-Rx that Joey Tribbiani had on top of his fridge? I was okay with that, but I am really not okay with this.
And, I'm starting not to like Frances Fisher because she's the actress who plays the person who delivers all the "synergy" to the folks at Global Dynamics.
And now I'll never buy the product.
I use a competitor, anyway. And you should, too.
If you want to tell the folks at Unilever what you think about their encroaching on your TV show with their B.O. stick, you can click this link for that.
Also, I notice that the product placement scenes are very specific and can be edited out or have new footage edited in (no audio involvement). I hope the DVDs are exempt from this garbage.

Here's what I wrote at that link you provided:
The way Degree is shoved in our faces in episodes of 'Eureka' is ruining a fun show and makes me want to urge others to boycott your product. I'm sure this is not the reaction you were hoping for, but intrusive commercials do not work anymore as they did back in the fifties when our viewing options were limited to the big networks. I'd rethink the policy and avoid doing it again if I were you.
But of course, I'm just one voice and I'm sure you will continue to do this and probably with other shows as well.....
I can take product placement when it's just added into a scene for realism (although I prefer fictional products). But when they start adding dialogue about the product, that pushes the envelope too far.
You mentioned 'Friends' and I think they may have started this trend when they had a whole episode about the Pottery Barn!
