Confirmed: Secret Diary ..., Billie Returns Next Season -- Not Confirmed? Andy and Nancy Botwin Hooking Up on Weeds

I just got an e-card from someone at Showtime, who revealed that Showtime will indeed pick up the second season of Billie Piper's Secret Diary of a Call Girl (and I betcha the third as well, but we'll have to see).

Tonight? Big changes in Hannah's and Belle's life when she gets the offer of a lifetime. Well, it's the offer of a lifetime in her line of work, anyway.

And, I actually have a series of comments about what happens in tonight's episode, but I'm holding till after. Because we start to venture out of rental territory and into what I thought was a very well paid servitude role (with which in fact I was somewhat uncomfortable).

And about the next go-round, Billie's talking to The Sun (or they're making it up, you decide):

Belle’s menu of saucy hardcore fetishes will even overshadow the last series of the ITV2 show, when she took part in threesomes, spanking and swinging. But the second series wasn’t easy to film as Billie fell pregnant with her first child.

So, watch tonight at 10:30, right after a new episode of Weeds, tonight on Showtime. I gotta watch last week's Weeds first, however. I think Nancy Botwin's on her way to being the first lady of Tijuana.

Oh, and btw, rumors of a Nancy-Andy romance on Weeds? Kristin Dos Santos at E! says:

If you thought there was some Andy-Nancy chemistry in the past couple of eps, you weren't imagining it. Jenji says Andy (Justin Kirk) does have some burgeoning feelings for Nancy, but that for now those feelings are a a one-way street. Says Jenji about Andy's Nancy-crush, "I think he would be self-protective, because I don't think his feelings would be reciprocated in that way, [even though] they've entered into this partnership...Although, biblically speaking, you are supposed to take on your dead brother's wife." Biblical mandates aside, "Ultimately I don't think it's going to play out this season, because she has other fish to fry."
