TV Critics Association Nominations for Mad Men, 30 Rock, Colbert, Many More

TCA nominations don't really break out like the others because there are limited categories, just one each for drama and comedy performance, a show of the year category with drama and comedy categories as well, and a "Heritage" award for which I can't figure out how they nominate, but you know how I feel about TV awards anyway, it's like comparing apples and Lladro figurines (I coulda said oranges, everyone says oranges).

I was impressed that one of the comedy noms went to Christina Applegate, who turns in a charming and self-effacing performance every week in Samantha Who? Thing is, the rest of the category is Alec and Tina form 30 Rock, Stephen Colbert and Ray Wise from Reaper, which for me is a surprise but I'm thinking it won't happen for him.

In the comedy show category, Stewart, Colbert and Carell (The Office) all have a horse in the game, along with 30 Rock and Flight of the Conchords, a show I just don't get in the same way I don't get Eric Wareheim and Tim Heidecker.

I certainly hope that Curious George beats Hannah Montana in the kids' show category, although I know that our TV pal Joel McHale will be rooting for Yo Gabba Gabba! A clip from The Soup with Nathaniel dancing at this link.
