THR.com Video -- ABC's Two New Series, Just Two
You can just watch Marc Berman from Mediaweek and James Hibberd from the Reporter talks. They were there, after all.
I'll have comments after the jump.
And yes, either Marc Berman is a giant or James Hibberd would fit in your pocket. I'm not really sure.
UPDATE: Sorry, I had to put the clip after the jump, I'm pretty sure it's the thing that's slowing down the loading of my homepage.
The two new shows?
Life on Mars is a remake of the BBC series that starred John Simm (who we knew as The Master from Doctor Who) as a cop who gets hit by a car and wakes from it and ... it's 1972. I wish they would have offered the role to Simm, but I don't even know if he's wanna play the guy again. Here it'll be Jason O'Mara, who is working the US accent anyway (from Ireland).
I've seen a decent amount of the BBC series and it's very, very good. Let's see what the American capitalist system does to it.
The other is a reality thing called Opportunity Knocks, and ... well, I just don't care. So let's gloss completely over it.
Interesting, they have a new reality show and they got rid of that Oprah thing. I don't believe for a second, btw, that Oprah didn't feel like doing it for another season. I think that's just a way for ABC to bow out gracefully. The Oprah Backlash continues.
