Five Minutes for Idol, Less for Paula -- Matching Them Up to the Neo-Con Agenda

Okay, I have five minutes. Let's see if I can finish this.
If the point of the Paula gaffe on Idol was indeed calculated to create controversy during a drop in the ratings, it was a failure (you know, like the "surge" in Iraq).
Because letting people in on the fact that the judges get that stuff written for them is just not the way to ratchet up interest in the show long term. I don't believe for a second that Paula thought she had already seen Jason sing twice or whatever she alleged. And Seacrest offered up the non-denial denial that would have made Donald Rumsfeld blush.
So, we now know that the judges get those comments fed to them (or at least Paula does, you can't expect her to make her own sentences, can you?) and from the sound of the comments made by Paula about Jason's second song, those comments are explicitly designed to sway the audience vote (c'mon, they're written like a Charles Krauthammer op-ed).
Are you still watching Idol? Really? Even after that? Remember how I said I would check in once we reach the top six? Well, it's come and gone and ...
I ... don't ... care.
