Really?
I know that every year around this time the rumors that HIMYM is on the bubble come to the fore, but I just don't think that this is the right answer.
I mean, we've seen what she can do on a sitcom, haven't we? Wasn't that Will & Grace episode (see pic) enough?

As for details on her role, the reps would not comment, but we are hearing Britney is set to appear in the 14th episode of the season. And insiders tell us exclusively that the most likely role for Britney in that episode is "Abby," a girl who works in Ted's doctor's office. She's described as "sweet and friendly and scattered and a little nerdy—a female Michael Cera."
Well, that sounds like it would take a degree of acting talent. How's she gonna do that?
Well, I guess it doesn't matter. Almost 80% of the respondents at a poll on the E! website say that they'll watch Britney's episode, which Trent at Pink is the New Blog says may turn into a recurring character.

You can't build audience with stunt casting unless you do it practically every week. Of course, HIMYM has already had Mandy Moore and Enrique Igelsias this season. Maybe they have others lined up?
One of them was Alicia Silverstone, who according to Trent has now pulled out of her episode for fear of being overshadowed by the PR and tabloid mob that follows Spears 24/7.
