(UPDATE: Sen. Clinton will also appear live via satellite tomorrow night on The Daily Show the night before the Ohio and Texas primaries on Tuesday, hoping to reach that younger demo that's moving away from her.)
Well, guess who isn't a regular viewer of the show?
Or is the use of a contraction, even in a time-tested, might as well be copyrighted (probably is) line from an iconic TV show just too jejeune for this Democratic nominee?
I was completely with her until I noticed she said, "Live From New York, It Is Saturday Night." Well, not with her as in supporting her candidacy, but with her in terms of her showing up on the show to do her Obama response.
She's just not the kind of person for which this kind of thing works.
Sorry, campaign, it doesn't wash for me.
Clip after the jump.
I'm not contending that Barack and Michelle get to bed on Saturdays at 11:29 just in time to see the cold open, either. But I bet he wouldn't make the same mistake.
