I just got word from, believe it or not, a vendor.
Underground Toys has me on their mailing list and they say in an email:
Looks like it’ll be a great year for Doctor Who once again with Season Four to be aired on Sci-Fi from April 2008 which this time around is much closer to the UK TV scheduling. The new season will also be shown on BBC America in the Summer and PBS in the Fall. Season highlights include no less than three companions for The Doctor and a multitude of guest appearances.
So I finally have an answer to my question. They are a wholesaler, but if you click to their site they have links to the retail locations they work with, so hurry up and buy everything you see pictured above ...
... for me.
I like toys. I don't "play" with them per se, but I do enjoy creating the odd tableau from the various characters. The Rose Tyler six-inch character has some weird leg movement, though. Almost comical.
UPDATE: The only thing that worries me about the paragraph above is that there are three companions and a multitude of guest appearances, but I just hope they're not overlooking story, which has been my biggest pleasure in discovering this show just in the last quarter of 2007.
If the truth be told, one of my favorite episodes of these more recent three series is the Doctor-lite episode Love & Monsters, which doesn't have much in the bells and whistles department at all but is such a great story.
And I know there is lots of love for Sally Sparrow and Blink, and I love Steve Moffat's work, but I love this story about his guy Eltonwho loved Jeff Lynne and the Electric Light Orchestra and how he found a family in people interested in The Doctor.
For those of you clicking over from the Doctor Who Forums (and thanks again whoever posted that link there), please just bear with me if I don't know much before the Ninth Doctor. I'm new. I do have everything on DVD now.
And, if you're in Los Angeles the weekend of Feb. 15 maybe I'll see you there.
UPDATE: Hey, everyone clicking over to this post from all over the 'net, if you click on the banner at the top of the page you can see my most recent posts.
Or, click here and here for Doctor Who and Torchwood posts.
And I would be honored if you would either add my blog to your favorites or subscribe to my RSS feed.
UPDATE: I know, it's getting boring, huh? Anyway, apparently I found something out that possibly I wasn't supposed to find out. This is by far, short of that post that included the Daniel Radcliffe Equus pics, the most popular post I've written.
Like I said, I got this email, blah blah blah, I've said it already. But if you think about it, it only makes sense. I'm sure a lot of you download the shows from bittorent and I guess SciFi (and even BBC America in the scheduling of Torchwood) want to try and cut the impact of that on the show's ratings.
Okay, I'll just shut up.

Steven Moffat is by far the best Who writer. He should be made Lead Scriptwriter (I believe you call the Showrunners in the States). Russell T, bless him for bringing the show back, needs to walk away now as the programme is slipping badly. The fundamental problem is RTD can't write science fiction. I don't question his talent and passion, but (I've said it before) it's all about the scripts man. Name your Top Ten episodes. None of RTD's will be there, but Moffat's will take spots 1-3 (The Girl in the Fireplace, The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances, Blink).
And yes, I adore Sally Sparrow, she MUST come back.
Stu ;-)
ps Try and track down this year's BBC Children in Need Special if you haven't already seen it. I thought it was rather classy (and written by Moffat).
