Bionics and Boyfriends, Do They Mix?
I ask because the most awkward moment (possibly even a Jump the Shark moment) happened at the half-hour mark or thereabouts in Wednesday's Bionic Woman when Jaime and CIA agent Tom started kissing while they should have been pursuing the guy who was selling "the list."
Did you see it? Ridonkulous!
And Tom is all of a sudden a guy that Jaime would risk her life for? This guy she hardly knows? Really?
And after last week's Halloween preemption, the ratings just tanked (TV Week's Rated Blog):
After such a strong start last month, “Bionic” has dropped with every telecast amid ongoing behind-the-scenes showrunner turmoil. In its six episodes, the “Bionic” narrative has paired Michelle Ryan’s Jamie Summers with several potential on-screen partners rotating through the show as if on a lazy Susan, looking for a match.
(snip)
“Bionic” scored a 2.7 preliminary rating among adults 18 to 49, with NBC coming in fourth place for the night. Lead-in “Phenomenon” (2.2) was down from last week and “Life” was on par (2.6).
I blame the network. More on that at a later date.
